Doc Chaser

What it does

Doc Chaser is for small accounting and tax firms. You pick the clients and the checklist of documents you need, and Doc Chaser asks each client for them and keeps asking until everything is in. You see one status board instead of a pile of email threads.

How it works

1. Pick your clients and a checklist of documents, such as T4, T5 or RRSP receipts.
2. Doc Chaser sends each client a private link by email, and by text if the client agreed to texts.
3. The client uploads from their phone. There is no account and no password.
4. The files go straight into your firm's own Google Drive. Doc Chaser keeps no copy.
5. Reminders go out until everything is in, and you see what is still missing.

Privacy and security

• Your Drive, your files. Uploads go to your firm's own Google Drive.
• Two-step login. Every firm user signs in with a password and an authenticator code.
• Hosted in Canada. The app and its data are hosted in Canada.
• Nothing sensitive asked for. We never ask for SINs, birth dates or bank details.
